Meet the winners of this year’s Holiday Magic Decorating Contest! This year’s winners, Chris and Josh, recently moved to our neighborhood in October. They were determined to embrace the festive spirit, and boy, did they deliver! After pulling together their holiday decorations, a local friend encouraged them to enter the contest. Little did they know, their creative efforts would lead them to victory. In fact, they completely forgot they’d entered until they received the exciting notification on social media! Josh shared how proud they are of their win, and Chris is absolutely over the moon. Chris is so proud of this victory, he’s considering keeping their unique, one-of-a-kind 2024 Holiday Magic Winner sign on display year-round! Congratulations again to Chris and Josh for their outstanding decorations and festive spirit. Thank you to everyone who participated, helping to make our neighborhood shine brighter this holiday season.
The votes are in and the winner of #FountainScare2024 is @trish_o.o!
We had a number of excellent submissions and it was a hard decision to make. Huge shoutout to all submission, with honorable mentions going to @creepyceramics and @travelgrrrls! Thank you to our local sponsors, @BlackHouseCafeIndy and @RooftopFruit for donating gift cards for our winner and to @thirteenthhourindy for donating two tickets to Indiana’s highest rated haunted attraction, The Thirteenth Hour! Happy Halloween, Fountain Scare friends!
We are thrilled to announce the winners of our inaugural Holiday Magic decorating contest, Mark and Ken Clarke! Christmas is their favorite holiday, and it shows! When asked about this year’s decor, Ken said, “When we walked into this house, I remember thinking, ‘this is going to be a fun house to decorate.’” Congratulations to the Clarkes! As first place winners, they’ll enjoy gift cards from Sam's Silver Circle and Fountain Square Theatre Building . We can’t wait to see what they come up with next year. Thank you to everyone who participated! We had some great entries this year and are already planning ways to expand the contest in 2024.
Congratulations to Amber Gaddy of the 1400 block of Woodlawn Ave for winning this year’s competition! Amber’s unique use of materials, including pre-existing landscaping, earned her the top spot. “I’ve been planning this since July, watching videos, and going a little crazy.” Amber joked when asked about her decoration approach. “I’m sure my neighbors are ready for Halloween to be over!”
Gaddy’s yard featured several interactive features, including a simulated thunder storm complete with sounds and strobe lights. “Halloween has always been a favorite holiday, but this is the first year I got to decorate a yard – I had to go all out.” Amber shared that her neighbors encouraged her to participate in the inaugural competition.
