Meet the Board
Jessica Barnett, President
Jessica Ballard-Barnett has been a Fountain Square and Fountain Square-adjacent resident for over ten years, and is a lifelong Hoosier. She lives on Laurel with her husband, Erik; her son, Felix; her daughters, Veronica and Artemis; and a dog, three cats, and a toad. Jessica also serves on the Board of SENSE Charter School. She is excited to serve on the FSNA Board and help improve our already-stellar community!
Kelly Sandstrom, Secretary
Kelly has lived in downtown Indianapolis since 2013 and purchased a home on Orange Street in 2022 with her husband Scott, her two black cats Wednesday and Willow, and her dog Fin! Kelly is a leader in the Indianapolis tech community, and also a dedicated project manager both personally and professionally. Kelly currently serves as Secretary of the Board and on the Community Engagement committee, and loves meeting everyone in Fountain Square and connecting to what’s happening in our wonderful neighborhood.
Justin Collmer, Treasurer
Justin has been living in Fountain Square since March of 2016. He as a Goldendoodle named Fletcher. You can often see them at Metazoa Brewing Co. out at the dog park. Justin enjoys the walkability of Fountain Square and all the dog friendly businesses. He enjoys spending time with friends and neighbors and hanging out on his porch in the summertime.
Michelle Walker, Board Member
Paul Mykytka, Board Member
Paul has lived in downtown Indianapolis since 2008 and purchased a home in Fountain Square in 2018 with his wife Michelle and their dog Jack. He enjoys his career as a civil engineer specializing in roads and pavements, traveling, volunteering for cleanups and events throughout Indianapolis, and recreational sports such as bowling, golf, kickball, and softball.
Dakota Pawlicki, Board Member
Dakota and his wife Colleen moved to Fountain Square in 2017. With a professional background in community mobilizations, systems change and nonprofit management, Dakota is focused on improving the QOL for those that call Fountain Square home. He runs a national network of exemplar cross-sector partnerships at CivicLab, hosts a podcast for Lumina Foundation and serves on several boards. When not working he can be found riding his motorcycle, playing his tuba or taking walks around the neighborhood with his dog Otis.
James Westbrooks, Ph.D., Board Member-At-Large
James and his family moved to Fountain Square in 2022 with their Sheepadoodle, Mack, and Old English Sheepdog, Muffy. Enchanted by the neighborhood's storied history and its vibrant, progressive culture, they have been visiting Fountain Square for several years but were thrilled to finally become permanent residents. James is a graduate of Purdue University, where he studied genetics, biochemistry, and biophysics. He is excited to engage with longtime and new residents about their needs, wants, and visions for our neighborhood.
Nick Thompson, Board Member-At-Large
Nick moved to Fountain Square in early 2020 from Pike township with his wife Dena and the best cat ever, Simon. They both joined the FSNA and media and marketing committee to get involved in the community and meet the neighbors. Nick enjoys burritos, lifting weights, very short walks, bike rides and being terrible at the drums and golf.
