2025 Fountain Scare Competition
The Fountain Square Neighborhood Association is proud to announce the 2025 Fountain Scare decorating competition!
Get in the mood and decorate your home for spooky season this year. Submit a photo of your decorated home to win a cash prize, a yard sign declaring your victory, and the coveted Fountain Scare trophy – not to mention neighborhood bragging rights!
New for 2025: Join us for the "Boo's Cruise," a family-friendly, walking tour of participating houses! See below for more details.
Eligibility
Eligibility
Any resident of Fountain Square may enter the competition. Businesses and current board members of FSNA are ineligible.
Decorations should not cover or interfere with any public safety equipment or public walkways. Submissions that are deemed to be discriminatory or inappropriate for children are ineligible. (Think PG13)

Submitting your entry is easy!
1) Take photos of your decorated home. Make sure to capture all the spooky and fun details!
2) Submit your home via the Google Form here: https://forms.gle/DQYEjxz9MntRgb8M8
3) Optional: Post the photos to either Facebook or Instagram (or both!), tag us (@fountainsquareneighbors on Instagram), and use the hashtag #FountainScare2025. Note: remember that your post must be set to public for us to see it or share it.

All entries will be voted on by your neighbors, and by the FSNA Board. Submissions will be assessed using the following criteria, each of which is given equal weight:

Use of materials or items
Attention to detail
Overall aesthetic
NEW FOR 2025: FOUNTAIN SCARE "BOO'S CRUISE"
When: Wednesday, October 29th from 6-8pm
What: Kid and family-friendly neighborhood walking tours of decorated houses
Where: Wherever you like! This is a self-guided event intended to get neighbors out together to enjoy the spooky season!
The FSNA Board will be meeting at Stacy Park at 7pm to tour the submitted homes. Feel free to join us!

The winner will be announced on Halloween and will receive (1) a gift certificate from a local business, (2) a yard sign proudly proclaiming your victory, (3) a feature in the Urban Times in Fountain Square’s column, and (4) the coveted 2025 Fountain Scare trophy!
