First Friday
The Murphy Arts Center in Fountain Square hosts a monthly art exhibition on the first Friday of the month, aptly named First Friday. During the event, the second floor of the Center showcases artists and their work throughout the halls and studios. Along with viewing and purchasing great art, you can watch live music at the Lo-Fi Lounge and play pinball at the PinVault. Visit the Murphy Art Center website for more information.
Chreece Hip-hop Festival
Chreece is an independent hip hop festival that celebrates the vibrant culture and diverse artistry of the genre. Over 80+ local hip hop artists, DJs, and producers will take the stage across 8 different venues within Fountain Square. Visit chreeceaf.com for more info.
Art Squared
Art Squared is a fair and street festival that features vendor booths, art competitions and kid activities. This event is one of Indianapolis' largest art events and usually occurs on a Saturday in late September. Please reference their Facebook page for additional information and schedule.
Tonic Ball
Tonic Ball began as a grassroots fundraising event in 2002 with the goal to put on a show to raise money for a good cause. The show they had in mind had a unique format: for one night, they’d assemble an eclectic group of local musical acts and ask them to cover songs by a single artist. Tonic Ball has since become an annual tradition and one of the most highly anticipated events on the Indianapolis music calendar. Visit toxicindy.org for more information.
FSNA Neighborhood Cleanup
Each spring and fall we ask our friends and neighbors to join us for a few hours of picking up trash and debris. Afterwards, join us for free food and drinks. Details will be shared at the monthly meetings and dates and times will be added to our Calendar once set.
